BACKGROUND

The pictures were taken by me in the cockpit of the T-28 storm chaser N10WX at Rapid City, SD in July, 2001. The bitmaps are accurate. Because I could not locate the authors of the many of the excellent gauge files out on the web (and those few I could locate did not reply), I was unable to include accurate gauges on this panel without violating copyright restrictions. All gauges on this panel are default Microsoft gauges from the FS 2000 Pro flight simulator and actually do a fair job of simulating this aircraft panel.. The only additional gauge file used is the P-47 main gauge file from Microsoft Combat FS. This gauge is included in this package in the "gauge" folder. Those of you who have one of the excellent panel modification programs which are available for free at SurClaro can make this panel nearly perfect with a few modifications using commonly available gauges supplied with other add on panels. You must usually obtain permission from the gauge author to use their gauges on your computer. All of my personal work is FREE and I copyright it only to be certain that it stays free. I think this should be the standard in a hobby like ours.

INSTALLATION

This panel is supplied as part of a T-28 package and should already be in the proper folders when you unzip it. You should move the P-47!.gau file to the "gauge" folder in FS 2000.

PANEL USAGE

There are 3 panels included. At boot up of this T-28, the VFR Panel will be present. Use "Shift-2" to bring up the IFR panel. If you are a purist, also press "Shift-1" to unload the VFR panel, parts of which can be seen above the IFR panel. At any time the radio panel can be displayed by pressing "Shift-3".

That is all ther is to it! Enjoy.
